Kelsey Swanson‘s mystery boyfriend is a big fan of the Real Housewives franchise, even though he opted to keep his identity hidden from The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
The entire cast of Rhode Island Housewives, including Swanson, appeared on Thursday night’s (April 2) episode of Watch What Happens Live following their highly anticipated premiere episode. Early on in the taping, host/Real Housewives executive producer extraordinaire Andy Cohen asked Swanson how her secret boyfriend feels about her joining the show.
“He’s the biggest Housewives fan, by the way,” Swanson said, much to Cohen’s surprise. “He’s a reality TV junkie. Hardcore. He knows every season. He knows what season [of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills] Erika Jayne’s husband went to jail. He knows everything, and he loves it. He was very supportive.”
Cohen then added, “But he was like, ‘Don’t show my face,'” to which Swanson replied, “Yeah.”
Swanson opened up about her unconventional relationship in the Real Housewives of Rhode Island premiere, revealing that she met her much-older boyfriend, who is from one of the “most prominent families” in Rhode Island, when she was 19. They met on a boat, made out for hours, and she soon became a “lady of leisure,” living job-free in his 16,000 square-foot New England estate.
While it may sound like a fairytale, things aren’t always what they seem. Swanson also shared that when her boyfriend is living in Miami for the first part of the year, he’s with his other girlfriend. With Swanson coming up on 30 years old, it’s no surprise that she was starting to want more commitment in her life.

As for this man’s identity, Deuxmoi previously reported that Swanson was “in a long-term open relationship with a very well-known judge’s son,” whose father was “known for his theatrics in the courtroom and loved being filmed for his own show.” Judge Frank Caprio, who died in August 2025, was a prominent judge in Rhode Island who starred in the show, Caught in Providence. He has four sons, though most signs point to either David Caprio or his brother, John Caprio. Not only are both of these men following Swanson on Instagram, but they also have interests in the greater Miami area. Bravo might not be able to share the true identity, but you can read more about why we think Swanson might be dating one of those two men here.
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
