Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch’s ‘thirst traps from space’ set social media ablaze: ‘Drop your arm routine’

It’s the zero-gravity gun show.

Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch set hearts aflutter and the internet ablaze with an image of her enviable bicep.

Lauded by fans as a “thirst trap from space,” the incendiary image shows Koch wearing a headset and holding a camera, her toned arm in full glory.

The pic, originally shared by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center on Facebook, was taken last summer.

The image was reposted by @astrasdoctor on X this week and has since been viewed nearly half a million times, inciting an army of arm admirers.

“My new fav pic EVER,” he captioned the shot.

Speaking on behalf of all of us, one commentator shared, “Holy sh–, @Astro_Christina drop your arm routine.”

“Ain’t nooooo aliens starting sh– with her,” said a second fan.

“I have nothing appropriate to say,” added a third admirer.

“That woman is my crush!” confessed a fourth.

Another joked, “Thirst traps from space. What an age we live in.”

Koch is the only female member aboard the Orion shuttle, which has completed its historic flyby of the moon and is now homebound.

NASA described Koch as a well-seasoned astronaut and mission specialist, meaning she has “trained for all roles to jump into action wherever needed.”

And it would seem that training includes arm day.

Indeed, even while aboard the Orion, Koch maintains a heavy workout regimen.

The flight pod is outfitted with a flywheel that allows the crew to engage in resistance training, including rowing, squats, and deadlifts.

NASA compares the flywheel’s operation to a yo-yo: “The device provides resistance proportional to the force applied, allowing loads up to 400 pounds.”

“This capability is especially important in deep space, where astronauts do not have access to the extensive exercise equipment aboard the International Space Station,” NASA continued.

Beyond her role as an astronaut, Koch leads an active lifestyle that includes surfing, rock climbing, running, yoga, and backpacking.

Girl, it shows.

Feeding the fanfare, NASA posted another image of Koch post-workout, with an American flag in the background, hair haloed and jawline sharp enough to cut a Flat Earther down to size.

Patriotism and nerddom have never been hotter.

Koch also posted an image of herself in one of the spaceship’s windows, silhouetted by a staggering view of Earth.

“First braids to leave Earth orbit. (unconfirmed),” she captioned the shot.

The crush-worthiness of Koch makes her the second member of the Orion team to be christened a space-age sex symbol.

Last week, her cosmic colleagueVictor Glover, was filmed taking a space shower during a live feed, and his impressive physique did not go unnoticed.

The footage showed the two-sport college athlete and the first black man to orbit the moon, using a “hygiene towel” (essentially an interstellar wet wipe) after exercising.

“Omg, Astronaut Victor Glover is so physically fit. Please let him exercise a lot,” pleaded one admirer.

While Koch and Glover are literally out of this world, they’re also out of the game.

Koch is happily married and lives in Galveston with her husband, Bob Koch, and their rescue pup, LBD, an abbreviation of her given name, Little Brown Dog.

Meanwhile, Glover has been married to his wife Dionna Glover for more than two decades, and the pair shares four daughters, Genesis, Maya, Joia, and Corinne.
