Is ‘American Idol’ on Tonight? Here’s When the Next New Episode Debuts on ABC/Hulu

Who’s going to be the next American Idol?

Normally, we’d be down to the final 12 contestants as our talented group of hopefuls prepare for the “Judges’ Song Contest,” but in typical American Idol fashion… there’s a twist!

For the first time in the show’s history, the votes from last week’s episode weren’t ready in time, so the two eliminations will take place at the beginning of this week’s episode, followed by the Top 12 performing a medley of ’90s hits secretly selected by Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, or Carrie Underwood.

Will we hear some Matchbox 20 or Oasis? Perhaps a little Alanis Morissette, Whitney Houston, or Britney Spears? I’d love to see a performance of “Fast Car” (Tracy Chapman), “Semi-Charmed Life” (Third Eye Blind), “No Diggity” (Blackstreet), or “Don’t Speak” (No Doubt). Time will tell.

When exactly does the next new episode of American Idol air on ABC and Hulu? Here’s everything you need to know.

Thankfully, the next new episode of American Idol is right around the corner.
