What our Post expert thinks about the Final Four

Illinois has shed its early-season inconsistency, pairing the nation’s top offense with a defense that has tightened into lockdown mode in the tournament, making it a fully balanced contender.

UConn remains a disciplined, well-coached squad under Dan Hurley. Though Tarris Reed Jr.’s breakout production highlights just how much the Huskies lean on one player to maintain their edge.

Michigan’s lockdown defense, anchored by Aday Mara, has turned the Wolverines into a March powerhouse. Yaxel Lendeborg’s scoring surge adds a decisive offensive dimension, making him the tournament’s most dominant player.

Arizona’s roster depth and interior dominance, led by Motiejus Krivas and Tobe Awake, force opponents into low-percentage shots and give the Wildcats control of the boards.
