Women's tourney: UConn odds-on title favorite as UCLA survives Duke scare

UCLA experienced its biggest scare of the women's college basketball tournament when it took an eight-point deficit into halftime against 13.5-point underdog Duke on Sunday, but the Bruins ultimately pulled it out to advance to the national semifinals. However, their ultimate lack of cover may have had some lingering effects on future odds, as the Bruins fell from +500 to +600 to win the national championship, while UConn maintained its favorite odds (-260) after a relatively routine win over Notre Dame, though the Huskies did fail to cover -25.5.

UCLA's lengthening means that Texas and South Carolina correspondingly shortened to +650 and +700, respectively, from +750. It's probably worth noting that the Longhorns would play the Bruins in the national semis if they defeat Michigan in the regional finals. The Wolverines are 100-1 for the title, while TCU takes up the rear at 200-1.

Monday's games see Texas laying 9.5 points against Michigan and South Carolina favored by 13.5 against TCU. Bettors are backing the favorites once again, with the Longhorns' spread attracting 58% of the handle and the Gamecocks' garnering 97% at DraftKings.

Odds by DraftKings Sportsbook as of time of publication and are subject to change.
