Robert Cosby Jr.’s ex-wife, Alexiana Smokoff, claimed he “beat the s–t out of” her in newly released bodycam footage from before his death.
Smokoff called the Salt Lake City Police Department on Nov. 23, 2025, to report an alleged domestic violence incident that took place in May 2024, according to footage obtained by TMZ on Tuesday.
“On May 18, my husband, who I’m separated with, beat the s–t out of me,” she told the responding officer while sitting in her car. “And I think it happened because he was abusing pills, and I flushed them.”
Smokoff, who took out her phone to show the officer a video of the alleged incident, went on to claim that Robert Jr. was “throwing stuff at” her and “chasing” her.
“He locked me inside the house,” Smokoff continued. “He hit me so hard that my ear bled.”
Smokoff also alleged that she didn’t seek medical attention at the time of the purported incident because Robert Jr. and his mom, “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Mary Cosby, “wouldn’t let [her] leave.”
“I’m a little stressed,” Smokoff told the officer, per the bodycam footage. “I have to see him again in court, and [Robert Jr.] has been breaking into my home. He broke my front window.”
Smokoff also confirmed that she had a protective order in place, but she claimed that Robert Jr. regularly ignored the order because he had “no regard for the law.”
Robert Jr., who struggled with drug addiction for years before his death, was in jail on separate assault charges at the time of Smokoff’s talk with police on Nov. 23, 2025.
As for Smokoff’s claim that Robert Jr.’s Bravo star mom “was there” at the time of the alleged May 2024 altercation, Mary reportedly said otherwise when the Salt Lake City Police Department approached her about the pair’s tumultuous relationship on Jan. 9, 2026.
The 53-year-old reality star reportedly told officers she didn’t see her late son and his estranged wife fight often, but she did acknowledge that the pair got into verbal arguments.
Mary also reportedly told police that she wasn’t privy to any physical interactions between her son and Smokoff while denying allegations that her son was violent.
Page Six has reached out to the Salt Lake City Police Department for comment.
Robert Jr. and Smokoff secretly married at a Utah courthouse in August 2022.
Smokoff filed for divorce in November 2025 after just three years of marriage, and the pair’s divorce was finalized in January.
Meanwhile, Robert Jr. was ultimately charged with two counts of domestic violence on Feb. 5 of this year in connection with his and Smokoff’s May 2024 fight.
However, the charges were dismissed following Robert Jr.’s tragic death on Feb. 23 at the age of 23 after officers “responded to an overdose call.”
